What is the meaning of Bili Hu?
Bili Hu is a Kannada Word for White Flower significant to the coffee blossom. We talk about
coffees coming from a crop with white flowers and red cherries.
What are red cherries?
Red cherries are the coffee fruits. Coffee beans are the seed of that fruit. Like in a mango, the
guthli is the coffee bean.
What is Bili Hu?
We’re a coffee brand based out of Noida. We procure coffees from Chikmagalur, roast in
Bangalore, blend, grind, and package in Noida. We cater to hotels, restaurants and Cafes,
offices, studios, and corporations.
What is the difference between other brands and you?
We’re all doing a great job in getting third-wave coffee/specialty coffee out there in the market.
Our differentiating factor would be that our coffees are not too bitter and not too acidic. Given
we’re working with plantations that are adopting sustainable agricultural practices, we’re able to
innovate with post-harvest processes and can offer a myriad of flavors ranging from fruity and
sweet to chocolatey and nutty.
Do you sell coffee beans or powder?
We sell both beans and powder. Do you brew coffee at home? And how?
Where do you supply your coffee?
We cater to hotels, restaurants and Cafes, offices, studios, and corporations. We do
coffee workshops, training and catering at private events
We have the normal coffee - phet ke. Can we make it the same way?
Our coffees are not instant coffees. We have all filter coffee. Like how to strain teas, coffees are
brewed in the same way
How much does a machine cost? What’s the difference between a fully automatic and asemi-automatic machine?
A fully automatic machine is a one-touch machine where at the press of a button you can get a
cappuccino or americano without any effort whereas a semi-automatic machine requires
manpower and tools such as a tamper, mat, distributor, and a grinder to grind your beans.
Typically, a semi-automatic machine would cost you more than a fully automatic machine.
A semi-automatic machine will help you to play around with coffee and understand coffee in a
better way such as amount of water, ratios, brewing duration, crema, etc.
How many cups of coffee can we drink in a day?
3 cups of coffee/ day. Coffee can dehydrate your body so to avoid that, drink a lot of
water..
Is it 100% organic coffee?
Yes, the coffee plantations we work with are certified organic. In our portfolio, we have
some nonorganic coffees too.
What’s the shelf life?
Coffee beans don’t expire but typically they’re Best before 12 months of packaging.
However, if you consume within three weeks, that’s when you should be able to taste
nuances in coffee.
How do you make Cold brew coffee? What’s the shelf life?
Take 100 grams of cold brew powder in a container and 1-2 liters of water depending on
how strong you want it. cover it & leave it undisturbed for 16-18 hrs in a refrigerator. Use
a muslin cloth to strain. And use it within 10 days.
Do you deliver? If I order today how many days it would take to reach me?
Yes, we deliver across PAN India. It would take 3-4 working days to reach you.
Do you accept cash on delivery?
Yes, we do accept cash on delivery.
Is coffee good for health?
Yes, depends on how often you drink coffee or how much coffee you consume in a day.
Coffee can leave you dehydrated so you should drink a lot of water.
What’s best with coffee? Brown sugar, Jaggery, Honey, Stevia?
We recommend all but only 1 ingredient in a cup. If you mix two things it can change the
taste of the coffee
Can you make custom blends?
Yes, we do create custom blends for hotels, restaurants, and cafes. What would your monthly
requirement be?
Can you do customized packaging?
Of Course! We do custom blends and co-branded packaging for our clients.
Do you have flavored coffee?
No, we do not flavor our coffees. They are naturally flavourful but you can add your flavours
after brewing.
Where does coffee grow in India?
Our coffees come from Chikmagalur, Karnataka. They’re mostly grown in the south of India, in
Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Are any of the coffees acidic?
No none of our coffees are acidic which makes us different from the others.
Do you have Kopiluwak?
Nope. it’s cruelty against animals. The cats are caged and fed something they can't digest. It
must be banned one day. However, try out Monsooned Malabar coffee from us. It’s got a better
story that is truly Indian!
What do you recommend for a strong coffee?
We recommend Robustas KR if you love strong coffee. OR go in for Mysore nuggets -
it’s a medium roast but full-bodied coffee.
Which coffee do you recommend for a French Press?
We recommend Monsoon Malabar if you like your coffee light, else try Mysore nuggets.
